Know yourself. Love yourself. Heal yourself: an introduction to self healing.

Self healing is the act of healing one’s self. Instead of giving someone else the responsibility of healing you, you take it upon yourself to heal you. It's about taking care of yourself by intentionally caring for your health, on all levels - mentally, physically and emotionally. Many people are talking about healing these days and it's because A LOT of people need it. People are in pain;  in their bodies, in their hearts and in their minds.  There’s not enough doctors or therapists to keep up. Knowing how to heal yourself alleviates some of this.

Knowing yourself is the key to healing yourself. It unlocks your ability to love yourself completely and unconditionally; and that’s what heals you. Whether it’s physical, emotional or mental healing you're after, start with knowing yourself. 

Knowledge is power. I’m sure you’ve heard that before. We say it and hear it all the time because we know that the more you know, the more you have access to and can do. The less knowledge you have the less you can do and that goes for pretty much everything in life. The more knowledge you have about something the more you can do with it… the more possibilities and opportunities. The more knowledge you have about something the more power you have with it and over it too. When you have knowledge of yourself then you have more power over yourself. You can use this power to heal yourself if you choose. 

Many people in our society suffer because we do not have knowledge of our true selves so we don’t have power over ourselves.  We are not connected to our true selves through knowing ourselves and this causes us to suffer. But what if I told you that you could reunite with yourself to end some of that suffering - that mental, emotional and/or physical pain? What if I told you you could regain your power? Well, you can. And all you have to do is get to know yourself. For real. Once you have that understanding, that knowing, then you have to decide to love yourself. That love, in spite of all you know about yourself, is unconditional love. And unconditional love heals you. You can use this formula… Knowing yourself deeply + Loving yourself unconditionally = Healing Yourself. 

Knowing yourself first allows you to correctly pinpoint where you need healing. Knowing yourself shows you where you are hurting so you can focus on that place or thing. Through knowing yourself you may come to understand that you need healing because you are hurting in some area of your life in some way. In the physical, mental and emotional realms, pain is an indication that something is wrong and needs to be addressed. Something got broken or wounded and in order to heal this thing, you first have to know what you’re dealing with. What kind of wound is it? How bad? Who or what caused it? When? What has been injured? What has been affected? Start to think about and identify these things.

Once you know what the wound is, you can figure what kind of healing it needs. And all healing should be powered by a deep love because love is a healing power. It is thee healer.  

There are different types of healing because there are different types of wounds. This applies to physical wounds of course but it applies to emotional wounds too. Just like a physical wound, when healing an emotional wound, some care should happen right away at the moment the injury happens and some has to happen to repair the wound and then some even after the wound is healed or mostly healed… as a maintenance. This rarely happens though, so more often than not, we don’t properly heal from the things that have hurt us. So really, its a good idea to try all different types of healing at all different times in order to achieve the best results. Especially when it comes to the Spirit… you never know what all was broken or injured that needs to be healed a certain type of way so why not try it all? 

There are tons of really interesting ways that you can get to know yourself and lots of beautiful ways that you can heal. There’s also plenty of ways that you can learn how to love yourself better and more deeply. There’s personality tests, life number readings, intentional breathing, reiki energy balancing, crystal gemstones, crystal sound healing, prayer, meditation, rituals, journaling, yoga, self-care and so, so much more. And they alleviate and relieve symptoms of all types of conditions like stress, high blood pressure, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, emotional pain and depression. They’ve all brought me so much clarity and understanding and I can’t wait to share with you the healing powers of these things and more, so that you can ultimately heal yourself the way only you can.

It caught my attention when you told us that knowing ourselves is the key to healing ourselves by helping us correctly pinpoint where we need healing in the first place. I’ve been feeling depressed for a while now, so I wanted to give myself something to lighten up this heavy feeling.
